1st Mate Derek Hall Derek, your host aboard Irie, looks forward to extending a warm welcome to his guests. Derek has spent the past five years working in the service industry. While he thoroughly enjoys all aspects of this industry, his true passion lies in the hands-on experience of dealing directly with the customer, ensuring that they are catered to at the highest level of standards and that their expectations are not only met, but exceeded. Those who encounter Derek would describe him as personable, easy-going, and very attentive to detail. His obvious care and interest in others will make his guests feel right at home the moment they step aboard. Derek’s love of the water began while living in the “Land of 10,000 Lakes”. This lure of the water is what led him to the islands and to IRIE. While his current passion is sailing, other interests include snorkeling, water skiing, kayaking, and fishing. Derek is currently working on his PADI Open Water certification and aspires to gain his instructor certification.
