Growing up, her father often took the family on vacations to discover new places and new adventures. Her mother and grandmother fueled her interest in cooking by hosting family get-togethers. Melissa’s love for food and wine took her to Chicago where she worked at a wine marketing company. She learned the beauty of pairing wine with food, which increased her interest for culinary training. In 2002 she earned a degree from the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago. Her love of travel inspires her to visit other countries and cultures, where she takes particular interest in the local food. She especially loves the warm tropical climate. She finds that cooking on a yacht for guests is the best outlet for her creativity and in her opinion, nothing is more satisfying than seeing people truly enjoying themselves, knowing she's helped them get there. Matt found his love of boats and respect for the water in his childhood growing up on the Mississippi River. Over the years he graduated from the rivers and lakes of the Midwestern United States to the Caribbean, where he learned to SCUBA dive and sail. After earning his Masters Degree in business, Matt dedicated himself to hospitality; from resorts to onboard service excellence, it has always been Matt's ambition to take people on vacation. Matt is happiest when he is sharing experiences with people. He is a fun-loving and caring individual and is committed to service.
